July 2010 Summer Bead-In & Left-Overs Sale, Saturday, July 17th from 2-4 pm St. Louis County Library Main Branch across from Plaza Frontenac on Lindbergh (just south of Clayton) So what is a Bead-In & Left-Overs Sale? Well, it’s two things actually:
Bead-In: Summer Bead Society meetings where members bring their own projects that they are working on and we just bead together. (Since there are so many family vacations over the summer, we hold off on regular meeting programs until September).
Left-Overs Sale: Many of our members have mentioned that they have beads and other craft materials that they have accumulated and would like to sell. Since there are so many that have mentioned this – we decided to have our July Bead-In also be a sale. So – now that you know what we’re talking about – here’s how you can participate:
Rummage through your beading supplies, books, old bead magazines, jewelry displays, storage items, tools & other crafting materials and see if there is anything that you aren’t going to use. Price your items.Bring some change for your sales.Bring a project to work on in between shopping & selling.While we’ll have some tables in the room – there won’t be an individual table for everyone. You may want to bring a card table or TV table for your items if you have one.Only craft-related items may be included in the sale – no household goods, clothing, kids toys, etc.We will have a bin available for any items that don’t sell (& that you don’t want to take home). These items will be donated to a local shelter for teen girls (more information available at the meeting). Invite any friends/co-workers/neighbors that enjoy a sale – who knows – they may just become a member of our group!
Steering Committee Are you interested in getting more involved in the Bead Society? Join us for our next Steering Committee Meeting (July 17th)! We meet at 12:30p on the day of our regular meetings at the Starbucks on Clayton & Lindbergh.
